Guest guest
Vegenaise is hard to come by in my neck of the woods and Nayonaise is so gross, a friend of mine gave me these recipes for vegan mayo substitues. They are economical, as she has a large family to feed and prices keep going up on everything. Ranch Style Bean-non-naise Place the following in the blender and whiz until smooth. 1 15 oz. can navy beans 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes 2 tsp. onion powder ¾ tsp. garlic powder ¾ tsp. dill weed ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. celery salt While blender is running, carefully remove lid and slowly drizzle in the following. 2 – 4 Tbsp. oil Put the lid back on, and then turn off the blender. Now it is ready to eat. Great for tomato sandwiches, or thin it a little and use as a salad dressing. A-maize-ing Dressing Place in the blender, and whiz until it is as smooth as possible. 1/3-1/2 c. liquid from can of corn 1 15-16 oz. can corn, drained 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. celery salt try 1/2-1 tsp. salt Use in potato salad or on finely chopped cabbage. My friend writes vegan cookbooks and most of the recipes she gives me are pretty good. Cherie
