This is something posted on the WAPF Tampa Bay group.  A friend of mine is a

member, and thought I may find this humorous.  :)

Those of you who have lots of knowledge on this, please help me come back with

something good for her.

Best wishes,

Cassie

Melanoma soars among young women

It's amazing to me how (most) doctors continue to completely disregard the

strong link between diet and melanoma. And, that sensible sunning actually

decreases your chances for melanoma, not increases it (that's why there are more

cases as you go north). Could it be that the fact that more and more young women

are becoming vegetarian and vegan be the real cause of the melanoma spike?

Vegetarians and vegans eat more vegetable oils than omnivores do .. vegetable

oil consumption is a strong indicator of melanoma risk as these women are no

longer eating protective animal fats and have increased inflammation and skin

fragility from the vegetable oils. The powerful vegetable oil industry would

never let info like that come out in the media! -Sarah

I just got back from Germany , from a cancer clinic, where my natural killer

cells were tested. I eat grassfed beef and sprouted grain products. I also take

Anvirzel, which is from oleander. It's a powder that I reconstitute and take

sub-lingually. My natural killer cells were almost normal, off by one point, a

good fifteen points higher than most cancer patients. The German lab tested

Anvirzel against my natural killer cells and found it to be more effective than

anything they had. I mention Anvirzel and melanoma because there was a small

study in Oregon with end-stage melanoma patients that stimulated natural killer

cells. that was the treatment. One person had complete remission with no chemo

and radiation. Anvirzel is being studied at M.D. Anderson, and I recall reading

that it killed melanoma in vitro more effectively than anything that had been

tested to date. I also had Anvirzel tested in a chemosensitivity assay (against

a hunk of my tumor) and it

killed my tumor cells as well as some other chemo drugs.

I'm sure it does as coconut oil is a medium chain saturated fat.

However, coconut oil does not contain the vitamin A/D that are

available only from animal fats. Also, the cell membrane is ideally

made up of a fully saturated fat molecule. Of course, the body can

make fully saturated fat from carbs (this is the big argument from

vegetarians why you don't need to eat saturated fat from animals), but

it does not make it in ideal amounts. In many people, only enough for

survival is converted and the rest wreaks havoc with metabolism and

insulin levels.

My father died of melanoma in 1997. Original diagnosis was in 1987. He

was really into physical fitness (long distance runner and yoga). He

was careful about sun exposure and was careful about what he ate.

So I don't know. Maybe a combination of factors but we do have to be

careful in the sun. I stupidly got a burn a couple of weeks ago and

have been using coconut oil. It seems to have helped the healing.

Everyone should monitor their skin and be familiar with whatever moles

they have so if there are any changes they can act on it right away.

Have a family member check your back and have your hairdresser check

your scalp from time to time and get a skin check from a dermatologist

once a year.
