Guest guest
I wander through the local Goodwill about once a month, since that's about the only time I'm in town, and always look for certain things, namely the Corningware casseroles in the Cornflower pattern-they also made a tea kettle, which I have yet to find-and the Centura dishes by Corning in the Cornflower pattern. Last week, I found a casserole, with lid, that was one of the first made, and about fifty years old, but still in excellent condition. The only other thing I've ever found in there worth buying was a snack set which will be one of my sister's Christmas present. Sarah

Guest guest
I totally agree, our local Goodwills have a wealth of good stuff in them and I have heard that a Salvation Army in Dallas is a total mecca for furniture. thrift stores are fun. if you like to read, sometimes you will be suprised to see whats on the book shelf. --- On Tue, 6/24/08, ap_to_be <ap_to_be > wrote: ap_to_be <ap_to_be > [vegetarian_ group] Re: Thrift shop finds Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 7:01 AM I wander through the local Goodwill about once a month, since that's about the only time I'm in town, and always look for certain things, namely the Corningware casseroles in the Cornflower pattern-they also made a tea kettle, which I have yet to find-and the Centura dishes by Corning in the Cornflower pattern.
