You know the funniest thing about this is that my mother was keeping my

youngest DD who is 4 overnight. I did not pack her anything special to eat.

She eats purely vegetarian at home, pretty much closer to vegan. And my

mother was miffed because she said that she didn't know what to feed her

anymore since I changed her diet. I was happy that she was acknowledging

that we are now vegetarians. But then she said, " So, I just had to feed her

some real food. " What kind of food do they really think that we eat? I

mean, we just no longer eat flesh, but the rest is the same, right? LOL I

just found that hilarious that most non-veggies think our food is fake.

What is fake about nuts, seeds, herbs, oils, grains, legumes, fruits, and

vegetables?

 

 

 

So, from now on I will be packing meals and snacks for my DD's when they go

over to my parents overnight. I have found it much easier that when I cook,

cook enough for the next night's dinner or lunch. It makes life so much

easier. I will just do that a few nights in a row before the weekend to

make sure that they are covered.
