Guest guest
No criticism, however this gets better, both in terms of health and fun to make, if you use a natural culture, even plain yeast, to carbonate the sugar liquid and make ginger beer. Less expensive too! This is a step back to making " natural " soda pop and you can flavor the liquid in a number of ways. The culture adds flavor. There is little or no alcohol and some of the sugar is used up so that drinking it is not so great a glycemic shock. Plus kids like to keep the culture and watch it grow. I used to like making it very much. But too much sugar for me, now. Anyone who's interested can google for recipes -- I found a quick one below (and you don't need any more fancy equipment than some drained 2 liter soda bottles), though you should be prepared if one should burst!
