I have a e-mail account and, in addition to seeing the recent spate

of annoying " & nbsp,  & amp, and other gibberish jammed into the text of posted

e-mails, I have also been gleefully informed by that they have (oh, here

we go again!) " improved " the " classic " e-mail experience.

This happened to me before, when I used " Hotmail " for my e-mailing.  They

suddenly " improved " hotmail, and I just hated it so much I switched to .

All the so-called " improvements " and " streamlining " are just a bunch of hokey!

has followed the path of hotmail and all the same " improvements " are now

in the e-mail system.  (If you are using for e-mail, when you get

the digest (like for the ), and if you wish to

reply to ONE of the messages in the digest.  You can't just highlight the part

you want to reply to, clip off the rest, and hit " reply " .  You can reply, but

you will have to re-type the address and start from scratch in the " compose "

page, instead--because to " reply " from the digest means that you AUTOMATICALLY

will have the copy of the ENTIRE DIGEST on your reply message!

I find that not only inconvenient, but just plain useless!  How many of

these groups (including this one) have a POLICY that the moderators post

regularly: " Please trim your text when replying to a message! " ?

It's not easy or convenient to trim the ENTIRE text of a DIGEST e-mail when

one just is replying to ONE single message!  I wrote to to complain about

this already, and, of course, they didn't reply.  I expect that when/if they do

get back with me, it will be " at this time we cannot make it possible to omit

the entire message replied to in the " reply " e-mail...sorry about the

inconvenience...(blah--blah-blah!)... "

Do the moderators have any clout in these matters?  Does anyone know of a

way to get the message thru to ?

Back to the topic (the & nbsp, etc.)--I am sure some of the problem is

related to 's " changing over " to their (NOT) " improved " e-mail system.

At about the same time as all these things were appearing in the e-mail

messages, I noticed also several instances of weird quirky changes (not all of

them long-lasting) in the appearance of my text box (where the  typed outgoing

message appears), and in the " text-wrapping " , size of text changing without

warning, and so on.  Right after those things happened, I got notice of the

" improvements " that, like it or not, I was " given " by good ol'

Ok, I know this has little to do with the recipes and group's objectives.

I was just wondering if anyone else here has noticed other changes besides the

text-jamming ( " & nbsp. " ) and if anyone who uses for e-mail is also

disgusted with the way the improvements make sending replies more difficult.

Thanks for any feedback!

sent a note they are working on this, it appears in some of our emails,

it's some glitch. & nbsp; Itmeans nothing and I sure hope they fix it soon, when

we file recipes we have to correct them as this appears in several of the

lines. & nbsp; It's most irritating. & nbsp;

It will probably appear in this post too.LOL

This happened to me too. I also get to see wonderful changes in size

of the posts, some that look so big that overlap and are impossible to

read. It is insane. So far I've had luck keeping a gmail account,

because and hotmail are the same and with gmail I'm not annoyed

by stupid ads. But I use my for the group... so it is

irritating that this happens.

Hopefully they'll get rid of it soon.

Just letting you know you're not alone.
