Guest guest
My oldest son tries to be an innovative chef. He recently cooked dinner for our whole family. His skewers did include be*f (sorry, we aren't 100% vegetarian yet,) but the part we were all raving about was the bok choy. He basted the skewers with a secret sauce. Because of questions he asked, I know the sauce included sherry, soy sauce, orange zest, crushed hot pepper, and dried seaweed. The rest of the ingredients are a mystery to me. He then grilled the skewers, continuing to baste until cooked. The be*f, onions, snap peas, and shitake mushrooms were okay, but that bok choy was unbelievable! Maybe it's just our family tastes. We are heavily into the cabbage-like foods - broccoli, cauliflower, bok choy, etc. - because of a history of colon cancer in my family. Another reason I'm trying to wean us off meats. But the combination of bok choy and the various flavors of the sauce was incredible. This one may go in the family cookbook. If I can get the secret sauce recipe from my son. lol
