Guest guest
Laura - Yes, I am a transplant. & nbsp; I moved to Central Florida in 1983 when I was 21 from Northern Indiana (Chesterton - Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore). & nbsp; We have a great farmer's market, but the tomatoes still taste nasty. & nbsp; Every once in awhile they'll have some from Tennessee, which taste good. & nbsp; When I first moved here, I couldn't eat the sweet corn, which everyone raved about the " Zellwod Sweetcorn " , because I came from real sweet corn country. & nbsp; Now I've gotten used to the corn and other veggies, except those darm tomatoes. & nbsp; I love the Boca chickien patties. & nbsp; I heat them in the toaster oven on 450 until crispy, then add cheese. & nbsp; I tried another brand that I really liked also which was crispier, but I can't find them or remember their name. Last night I made spaghetti with the frozen meat crumbles (don't remember brand, but they were in the frozen section at Walmart by the boca burgers/chicken). & nbsp; I didn't tell my family and they liked everything, but the chunks of veggies in the sauce. & nbsp; I never liked guacamole until my mom made this version. & nbsp; It tastes great with fritos, and you can freeze quacamole, although I'd probably add a touch of lemon juice to keep from browning. & nbsp; I don't mind the questions, it feels nice to help especially being the " new " veggie kid on the block! & nbsp; Kelly, FL (Indiana transplant)
Guest guest
Hey Kelly, I'm booliterary21, I'm a new member. I think the veggie crumbles you're talking about are from Morning Star Farms. They have a whole line of veggie protien products. Don't forget to check the produce sections of your grocery stores too. They have some great veggie protein products too. But watch the expiration dates in the produce section, they sneak up fast. , Kelly Best <bests4him wrote: > > Laura - Yes, I am a transplant. > & nbsp; > I love the Boca chickien patties. & nbsp; I heat them in the toaster oven on 450 until crispy, then add cheese. & nbsp; I tried another brand that I really liked also which was crispier, but I can't find them or remember their name.
