Guest guest
Hi, Lynn. Welcome. Come on in and have a cuppa. Someone will be along to show you where all the great recipes are. Me? I am the old woman of the mountain. (Georgia, that is) sue ---- Lynn Green 08/26/06 01:52:07 yet another new member Hi all - I have belonged to another group, the SBD vegetarian group, but it was dead except for spam for the last year at least. Then someone from this board posted to it saying what a great board this was, so I had to check it out! And many thanks to the poster who did that, I'm terribly sorry, don't recall the name. I am a 13 year lacto-ovo vegetarian - because of animal rights issues, enviromental issues, health issues... OK, I've been reading vegetarian times for a long time, the longer I do, the more reasons I have. Should be a vegan for all that I would like to believe in, but it would be too hard to go that far, as I am the only one in my social set that is even veggie. Plus, at this point in my life, I think I could never give up cheese, but who knows, 14 years ago I said I could never give up beef. I didn't select the right email preference upon joining this group, so I was OVERWHELMED at the volume of email, but I scanned each one!! It's nice to see this is an ACTIVE board, and not just with spam!! I am a soup/stew lover, and I saw that there was some mention of the vegetarian slow cooker cook book. I would like some feedback on that from someone who has used it a bit. anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself. I may not post much, but you can beleive I'll be lurking.... Guest guest
Hi, My name is Paula. I've been a vegetarian for 20+ years. I'm always looking for new, delicious recipes. I have two boys (3 and 5) who are also vegetarians and a DH who is not. He will eat what I cook but I don't do as much cooking as I'd like (too busy with work). Unfortunately DH is very good at bbq'ing (apparently, I don't know I've never tried his stuff)so getting him to each veg in the summer is particularly difficult. I did just get a copy of The New Vegetarian Grill so I'll try my hand at bbq'ing this summer. I'm glad to have found this group.
