Guest guest
Thanks Donna, Roseta, and Diane for your comments on Madhur Jaffrey's vegetarian cookbooks. I ordered both and am cooking a spinach and chickpea dish from World Vegetarian tonight. One comment that Madhur made when she was on Sara Moulton's Sara's Weeknight Meals was that she cooks a lot in the pressure cooker, and that the new pressure cookers out today are a lot easier to deal with than the traditional ones. I took a look on Amazon and found a number of electric pressure cookers with electronic controls and digital displays. I have a old Presto that I've had for probably twenty years, and I had pretty much the same model for several years before that. Seems to work just fine for me. For those of you who use pressure cookers, what kind do you use? Do you use one of the new ones, or are you sticking with the old-fashioned kind? If you use one of the new ones, is it that much better than the traditional? Thanks, Mike
