Guest guest
i just bought some Quorn chick tender strips to be used in stir fry tonight. What's the best way to do this so they don't get tough? Add with the harder veggies like carrots? Or cook separately and add at the end?
Guest guest
I've not used Quorn before, but when I make stir - fry and use Vegetarian Worthington FriChik or Worthington Choplets, I blot them dry and dice them up in big pieces. I drop them in a large frying pan or wok in a little oil over high heat. I stir quite often until they are browned all over. If it is the Worthington Choplets(gluten cutlets), then I sprinkle them with some Lawry's seasoned salt or some McKay Beef Style seasoning(all vegetarian) or Bills Best Beaf Style seasoning(all vegetarian) and toss well. I put them in a bowl and then add the veggies into the hot wok with a little oil and stir frequently. I stir fry this until the veggies are tender crisp. I add a little Braggs Liquid Amino's, some garlic powder(or fresh minced) and a little ground ginger. Add the browned FriChik or Choplets into the veggies and stir well. Taste and adjust seasonings as your tastes dictate. Serve over a bed of Basmati Rice. I usually add some Garlic Chili Sauce to my plate and stir it in well. - Melissa Friday, May 16, 2008 4:17 PM best way to use Quorn in stirfry? i just bought some Quorn chick tender strips to be used in stir fry tonight.
