Plum Nutty Bread

I made this for dessert and we had this witt tea. I had to use canned plums,

just drain them and dice up.

Plum Nuttty Bread

 

Cream together:

1 cup butter or marg.

2 cups sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

4 eggs

 

Add:

3 cups flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cream of tartar

1/2 tsp. baking soda

3/4 cup plain yogurt

1 tsp. grated lemon peel

2 cups diced plums (canned work just drain them)

1 cup chopped nuts (I used walnuts)

 

Fill 6 small or 2 large loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Cool 15 mins and remove from pans.

Thanks for sharing this recipe and other recipes that you made and took your

mom's for Mother's Day. What a nice bunch of very special dishes to make your

mother feel loved and cared about. You're a very good soon.

 

You know, the other day I was looking for some canned Pineapple tidbids(we put

these on pizza) and I saw canned plums. This was the first time I have ever

noticed canned plums before. They must be a new item our store has stared

carrying. I'll have to try making this plum nutty bread(love the name) and the

fig bread that Donna has in the files.
