Guest guest
I always find it amusing that allot of vegetarians try and find things that resemble dead animal products. I look at stuff in the store and see tofu dogs, ?chicken nuggets and other things. Not sure what the logic is behind this. I am repulsed by meat and don't want my vegetarian food named after something I would not eat or resemble it. Do love vegi burgers, black bean is my favorite so I am sorta on board with this idea in a way.,So animal named vegi food is for the people riding the fence so to speak and still have some kind of connection to animal products. That is my theory. I have never tried tofu dogs, Might be good. I do have some fake bacon in the freezer that is for something I am trying next week. So I am open to the fake animal food to. Guest guest
Just a thought but it could be to help with the transition over. It could be one way to help the meat eaters feel better about the shift or for the kids as well. Plus I would guess that some times even vegetarians and vegans want something quick and simple to make and/or crave something that they used to eat. Guest guest
I agree. My nephew lived on bugers and cheese and at age 17 his cholesterol was something like 279. He immediately went on a strict vehetarian diet, he would include low fat milk and scrambled egg whites. He loved veg burgers with vegan cheese and within a year he lost 20 lbs and he wasn't even heavy to begin with, he had a lot of energy and his cholesterol went down to 160. It's even lower now, he's become vegan since dairy started giving him problems. I know for a fact he would have failed if he didn't have tofu dogs, veg riblets, veg burgers, veg lunchmeats, Yves sausage and chik nuggets to add to his diet. Now he rarely eats alternative products and he spends time in the kitchen making food. Guest guest
I understand your point but the names doesn't bother me. I know they aren't cute farm animals I would rather pet and feed as oppose to something on my plate... --mzyummydread...dreaming of rainbows
