Guest guest Posted May 7, 2008 Report Share Posted May 7, 2008 * Exported from MasterCook * Pears Baked With Cardamom Recipe By :David Scott Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts & Drinks Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 large pears 2 tablespoons red wine 1 1/2 ounces soft brown sugar 1 teaspoon cardamom seeds Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C, gas mark 4). Peel, core and slice the pears. Put them in a shallow, ovenproof dish, sprinkle the sugar over them and add the wine. Sprinkle over the cracked cardamom seeds (crush them with a rolling pin). Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until the pears are soft. Leave to cool, then serve.
