Guest guest Posted May 5, 2008 Report Share Posted May 5, 2008 Pizza Rice Casserole 2 cups rice, cooked 1/2 package Crumbles 1 onion, chopped 2 cups tomato sauce 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 dash pepper 1/4 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon parsley flakes 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese 1/2 cup shredded cheese Cook rice and set aside. Add tsp. oil sayte Crumbles and onion toghther for a few minutes in large skillet. Add tomato sauce, garlic salt, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano and parsley. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Combine cottage cheese and cooked rice. Put 1/3 of the rice mixture in a buttered 2 qt. casserole. Top with 1/3 of the Crumbles-tomato sauce. Continue to alternate layers, ending with Crumbles-tomato sauce. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Serves 6.
