Hi I am Shanan, I live in Australia. I've thought several times in the

past about taking on a vegetarian diet but have never seriously

thought about it until now. I have semi support from my husband but he

'presently' doesn't see giving up meat. But he will have to eat what I

feed him :-). I have a 22month old daughter and I'd like her to

benefit from a vegetarian diet too.

 

My reasons foremost for taking this step is the health reasons. But I

also struggle with a repulsion when I think too deeply about what I am

putting in my mouth when I eat flesh. I look forward to the challenge

of eating nutritiously without flesh. And taking a firm stand for

something that has been down deep inside me for years.
