Guest guest
I'm new and very impressed with this group. All the helpful information, recipes and friendly nature. I've been busy printing out recipes the last 2 days. Wanted to share my favorite chard recipe with you all. It's long on flavoir and short on time to prepare. If you don't use honey then use maple syrup, works fine. Barry Steamed Chard With Balsamic Vinegar and Honey and Nuts Stem chard (any color), rinse the leaves well, and drop them in a large pot of boiling water for about 5 minutes or until just tender. Drain rigorously and return to a warm pot to evaporate any moisture. In a small saucepan, combine 2 tbsps. each of balsamic vinegar and 3 tbsps. honey over low heat until warm. Pour the sauce over chard and toss with 3 tbsps. of lightly toasted pine nuts or toasted slivered almonds; salt and pepper to taste. Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
