Guest guest
Hey Kathleen... Aga's are like old fashioned stoves..you can get different types which run off different fuel sources. My boyfriends parent have one which is run off oil, it supplies there heating as well. Generally they have one or two hot plates which are on when the cooker is on - one hot and one cooler. And a number of different ovens. I think basically there is not too much temperature control so you have to really get used to cooking with them and there are several specific aga cookbooks in the UK to help people. I have heard that once people are converted they absolutely swear by their aga. And I know other people who covert one. The bad news is that they are very expensive! They have a website at http://www.aga-rayburn.co.uk/.... I think there are other brands out there that work ins similar ways but I'm not sure.. Good Luck and hope this helps..
