Yemeni Relish

 

4 small jalapeno peppers, chopped

10 medium cloves garlic chopped

1 bunch fresh parsley

3 cardamom pods

Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

 

 

 

 

Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender, and blend until smooth. It

will form a paste.

 

The heat of jalapenos is in the seeds and the white membranes. You can adjust to

your own taste by removing some of the seeds.

To make this Yemeni relish in the traditional way, you would use a mortar and

pestle. Modern appliances are just as efficient and much easier.
