When a recipe calls for 3 cups of lentils or 4 cups of garbanzo beans, it refers to the cooked volume. But different beans and legumes cook up differently. Seems like it's anywhere from 1 to 2 through 1 to 4. So I'm never sure how much of the dry ingredient to put in the pot to get the cooked volume the recipe calls for. Is there a chart somewhere that tells me what amounts to put in to get what yield? Many thanks, Mike ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
