Hi Rhoda,

You had a nice time. Don't apologize. I have so many recipes I intend

on making on a certain date of holiday and time runs out or plans change. I've

been trying to make a tofu tempeh loaf recipe for weeks now. I hope to try it

out tomorrow and will post if it comes out.

Save your recipe and now you have one to try over the summer heat.

hahaha Liquidfied cinnamon rolls. I don't make it that sweet, this is how my

BIL loves it, very sweet. My Mom always made us a rice milk drink and she never

gave us much sugar so I was always used to boiled strained rice water with

cinnamon, cardamom and a touch of honey in it.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend,

donna

Donna,

I got so wrapped up in preparations for Children's week that i forgot to thank

you for the recipe & directions for making Horchata. I'm so sorry! I got busy

with other activities & didn't make the Horchata; however, I didn't know that a

Hispanic family had been asked to make it. They made enough for over 160

children plus adults.

It was very sweet & a little spicy. We had several high school girls come over

to the school & perform traditional dances complete with authentic costumes. One

of the girls said that Horchata was 'liquified cinnamon rolls " ,lol! That's about

what it tasted like!

It was quite a week & I was glad when Friday afternoon rolled around!!

[vegetarian_ group] Rhoda here's my horchata recipe

Horchata (rice milk drink) 1 cup long grain rice, rinsed 2 quarts water 1

cinnamon stick, broken into pieces 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional) 1/2 cup white

sugar or less In a large saucepan, combine rice, water and cinnamon stick. Set

aside for 1-3 hours. After soaking, bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for

30 minutes. Allow to cool. Puree rice mixture in a blender until smooth. Strain

through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Flavor with vanilla and sugar to taste.

Chill, and serve over ice.

I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the world as one.

And I believe it could be someday, it's going to come.
