Guest guest
The following is based on what I've read... Although technically Miracle Grow may not be harmful to the food that you grow in it, it provides the soil with nutrients to boost growth, and these artificial nutrients prevent the microbial composition of the soil to naturally manufacture these nutrients. The microbes end up dying, which means that next year, you will need the fertiliser even more since the soil can no longer produce what it needs. That's why the organic gardening books recommend compost (instead of Miracle Grow), which promotes the health of soil naturally. Hope this helps! peaceful_inhaler <peaceful_inhaler Wednesday, April 16, 2008 4:17:27 PM Re: Tomatoes and Miracle Grow I grew some kickin' tomatoes with Miracle Grow last year.
