Enjoying Nature, Judy - wwjd Saturday, April 12, 2008 8:19 PM Re: Earth Day Well we have been more diligent about not driving over the speed limit which gives us better gas mileage. Consolidating our outings from home also to save on gas. The last few years our vacations have been to national parks instead of theme parks. It is so breathtaking and we're forever grateful for the protection of these awesome places for our enjoyment of nature. I'm thankful also to National and State parks that offer programs which give nature programs where you gain in your knowlegde of that park, wildlife, waterways, plants and trees and other things that are pertainent to that park and nature in general. We love hiking too. Being a vegetarian also saves our earth. Read Diet for a New Planet to see how we make a difference by this lifestyle choice. We beautify our yards with landscapes that accent the beauty of the plants in a pleasing way and put in plants that attract butterflies and trees for birds to live in. We have several different kinds of shrubs/bushes that produce berries that the birds love. We have feeders too. We are a family that loves learning about nature, being outside in it and creating beauty with it in our yard. I love to sit on my patio and enjoy the birds and watch the clouds, watch the stars at night, see the trees and flowers flowing in the breeze, see what is blooming now. Right now we have blooming in our woods and yard, dogwoods, azeleas in several colors, redbuds, mountain laurels, apple trees, pansey's, roses, dewberries, bridal wreath bush, several other trees in the woods, and lots of new growth on perienials. The world is so alive. It gives me such a contentment inside, when I can be in and enjoy nature. Judy .
