There is a pattern for a crocheted string bag on the label of some Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn. You may have to look at several skeins but they are still printing it on some labels. I made a few about 7 years ago. Their web address is www.sugarncream.com/patterns It is on the first page after clicking on " accessories crochet " . They recently introduced an organic yarn. Also check out the dishcloth patterns in both knit and crochet. I've been making these for years and they are the only dishcloths I use. They last nearly forever. Guest guest
Hi.. Sorry for the delay - I had a big problem with my home scanner so had to do it at work... You need big needles for it but other than that its really easy.. I have no idea how strong it would be though! This would, I think, make great Christmas gifts for my 5 daughters and two daughters- in-law for next Christmas. With so many children and grandchildren, I am always looking for something that is unique to give for Christmas. My husband could print it off for me at his work if you could send it to me. nancihank Thanks so much!! Nancy C. East Texas Hi! I have a knitting pattern which you can use to make string bags like the kind you describe. I could scan it and send it to you off list if you like? Or if anyone else is interested just e-mail me..
