Guest guest
The only soy cheeses I tolerate are the mozarella versions, but NOT melted (texture is usually very odd, I think). Soy-sation's mozarella is tolerable in a sandwich--the texture is good; the cheese is quite bland, but snadwich fixins jazz it up. Soy-sation is not vegan, however. I recently tried Toffuti's Better Than Sour Cream which isn't bad, but blah. I added a little mustard to it and it more closely resembled real sour cream (to me). I also tried Better Than Cream Cheese which is a bit blah but at least it doesn't have the strong tofu taste; I'm trying to figure out what ingredient is lacking that would make it closer to real cream cheese--it probably would be fine in a cheese cake, tho I haven't tried it. Soyrizo is also very good, I will saute it with a bunch of onions and garlic and top my pizza and I don't add any type of cheese. Donna **************Planning your summer road trip? Guest guest
Does anyone in the UK have any recommendations for any vegan cheese? I have never found any that I can eat, there is not much choice, but those I have tried I would rather do without. I am not vegan at the moment, just vegetarian, but am not happy at eating cheese, so any recommendations would be welcome.
