Guest guest
When we were growing up, my mom used scrapes of worn clothes to make quilts with also. It was always fun to see the material from our clothes in her quilts. Made for special memories when we would think about the clothes we had had over the years. She has also used old jeans to make pot holders with from the pocket sections(she uses a wornout potholder for the inside part to make it thicker and more heat proof) and for make border sections around picture squares on a quilt. A friend of hers covers lamp shades with some of the buttons off of old clothes. When I was a child, we went to the dumpster behind a sewing factory in our town and took all the material scraps, which she used in her quilts.
