Guest guest
Hey, I just found out about this event where millions of people around the world are joining together to make a statement about climate change by turning their lights off for an hour. It's called Earth Hour and I just signed-up to participate-I thought it might be something you'd want to sign up for too. Earth Hour is on March 29 from 8 - 9 p.m. local time, and it looks like it's going to be really big. So far 25 cities around the world are taking part, including Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix and San Francisco in the U.S. Sign up for Earth Hour by visiting www.earthhour.org/sign-up and join the movement with me. And remember - Lights Out on March 29! can I take your picture? hehe Like movies? Here's a limited-time offer: Blockbuster Total Access for one month at no cost. Guest guest
Sorry but i have to disagree with you, there is no way that anyone can look around and see all the damage that humans have done to the planet and not come to the conclusion that we have definitly contributed heavily to global warming. Enviormentalist have been trying to tell us since the sixties about global warming and people ignored them or turned them into the butt of jokes. They were right back then and I am going to believe them before I believe anyone else, they are a much more reliable source than the people at Faux news. Just as I feel that Greenpeace has been telling us for years that we are over fishing the seas, and still people are not listening. nancihank <nancihank wrote: Although the climate change is a very real happening in our world, it is a totally natural phenomenem that is in only a very small way related to humans. If you look back thru history, climate changes have been happening for the entire life cycle of the earth.....hello, ice age, etc. Al Gore has done a true number on the heads of many " regular " people with his film. He did not even get the opinion of the most educated man in the world to obtain information on polar bears for his supposed documentary. If he didn't do that, what makes you think that he did fudge on all of the other areas of this scary film. Everyone needs to conserve energy but trust me, my husband works for a huge electrical power company here in Texas...he is in his 28th year with the company.......turning off lights for an hour won't make any difference as far as stopping the changing climate. All of your appliances will still be drawing all of the power they normally consume.....your lights are only a small part of your electrical usage. Nancy C.
