Guest guest Posted March 27, 2008 Report Share Posted March 27, 2008 Pickled Mirlitons New Orleans 6 mirlitons 6 garlic cloves, peeled 1 1/2 quarts red wine vinegar 1 quart water 1 cup salt 1 cup sugar 1 cup white mustard seed Wash, peel and cut mirlitons into strips. Pack into sterilized jars. Put garlic clove in each jar. Mix together remaining ingredients in saucepan; bring to boil. Pour over mirlitons in jars; seal at once.
