" Chicken Seasoning "

1 1/3 c. Nutrititional Yeast Flakes

3 T. Onion Powder

2 1/2 t. Garlic Powder

2 1/2 t. Salt

2 T. Parsley

1/2 t. Celery Salt

2 T. Italian Seasoning

1 t. Tumeric

Mix together and store in a ziplock bag for use in recipes that call

for

Chicken Seasoning. It is good in Soups, breading meal and for use in

making

Scrambled Egg Tofu.

Thank you for this seasoning blend recipe. I keep all kinds of herbs, spices

and seasoning blends anyway. My only comment would be to say I prefer to keep

my seasonings and herbs in small glass jars instead of plastic zip-loc bags.

I've heard the flavors go flat sooner if storing herbs or spices in plastic

(even bottles that are plastic). I save tiny glass jars all the time: jars that

fruit spreads come in, jars that contain artichoke hearts or olives...the

smaller the better, and use them for my herbs, spices, loose tea storage.

Places like " Bed, Bath & Beyond " or " Linens 'N Things " also sell empty small

(uniform sized) glass jars to use in a spice rack or cupboard for spice/herb

storage. I have a bunch of those, too--every time I get the notion, I make a

trip there and buy two or three more--always adding to the " collection " in my

cupboard! LOL!

Thanks again for the recipe! Looks really good! I think I will try the

scrambled tofu, too!
