Guest guest
I'm told by different Hispanic friends that some Jicama grow in the ground as a root and have a more potato like texture while others grow on a vine like a squash and are crisp and juicy. All I know for sure is that I have noticed the different look and flavor and the Jicama we get in Colorado come from Mexico. Some of them look more like sweet potatoes or yams. Sorry if my post was confusing. Deanna in Colorado
Guest guest
No problem. We live just North of the Mexican border in SoCal. Most of our neighbors are Hispanic and we don't know of but the one Jicama. Thanks for letting me know about the other will definetely look for it.
