Guest guest
Hi Jeannie.... I have never tried the stevia so am just trying to get different opinions on it. I have never been a really huge sweets eater but when you have to watch every carb you put in your mouth, it has a tendency to make you want it anyway. I used to make cakes of one kind or another when my kids were growing up but my boys were my oldest and have been grown a long time now and as each of my daughters grew up, they didn't eat cake or cookies like they did when they were younger so I haven't baked cakes much in a long time...unless it is for a birtheday, or if I am catering a wedding reception, or a shower, and since that isn't for us, it doesn't really count. I got tired of throwing out leftover cake when they weren't eaten. I hate waste almost above all else. When we have a family birthday party it is easy to take just a very small piece of the cake....eat a bite or two of the cake...no icing....and then chunk the rest. My daughters are excellent bakers but cake isn't my thing anyway. NOW, offer me a piece of homemade coconut cream pie and I might be in BIG trouble!! So....I am looking at ordering some on ebay...no shipping. Waiting to hear from the seller on how much the bottle holds so I will know for sure what I am getting. I have never noticed any kind of a bitter after taste in other artificial sweeteners....I have friends who do, so maybe the stevia won't taste bitter to me. We shall see. Nancy C.
