Guest guest
I always thought growing up that I hated Asparagus because all my mom ever gave me was canned which was mushy and gross..... Then one day someone gave me some grilled, my goodness I ate it and ate it like it was candy! My favorite way is just snap off the bottoms, squeeze fresh lemon juice on it and throw it right on the grill (I don't even put oil on it - the lemon juice kind of steams it a little as well as gives it the citrus kick I like)-even my daughter will eat them as fast as I pull them off the grill. My mom now brushes hers with zesty Italian salad dressing (oil and vinegar kind)and then grills it...that works with most vegetables by the way if you are pressed for time. Even works on a George Foreman or Wolfgang Puck grill inside. I want to try the recipe in the digest yesterday with the chili oil - sounds yummy! I'm wondering about chili oil on portabello caps for grilling??? Have a good night! Linda in Texas
