Guest guest
Kathleen, We have a Kroger in Appomattox which has upgraded to a great health/organic food section and a larger produce section, so I buy staples there. There's also a health/Natural food store in Lynchburg I go to for a lot of things once every week or so. Fresh produce buying will be a little more interesting this year. I used to go to a farm on the way to Richmond as I lived closer that way or went that way once or twice a month, but this year I'll be staying more west. Do you know of any good farms or markets out towards the mountains that would be good for me to check out? I am thinking of joining a local CSA in Lynchburg this year and I'm checking into a couple of smaller farms near where I live, but they don't usually have a whole lot. We head out on drives to the mountains a lot in the summer since it's so close, and I've seen a lot or orchards and farms during our travels, but can't remember exactly where they were. Last year I stocked up on enough stuff to get me through with soups, etc through the winter, and I really want to expand on that this year.
