I love the Fuji & Gala too. The farm grows lots....what comes to mind are

Jonagold, Golden Delicious, Empire, Crispin, Red Delicious, and 20 ouncers. I'm

sure there are more but I can't recall. The 20 ouncers I've only been able

to get a couple times, they are HUGE and not good eating apples but great for

cooking. Very short shelf life too.

They also have cherries....oh yummmmm. One summer we visited right during

cherry picking and brought home 5 coolers full. Sat at the kitchen table with

paperclips pitting them for a full 2 afternoons. Froze them for pies. Mmmmm

Here is a link to the farm:

Oh Amy, you'll have to. I've been seeing the rave reviews of this recipe on

here so many times over the past 2 years and today I finally got around to

making it...........Oh my........... so mouthwatering good. I love the crispy

crust it makes..........

How nice to get some apples your hubbys family orchard. I used Gala apples in

the pie I made today. What kind of apples does his family grow?

There is so much variety of apples, in the grocery stores these days. I LOVE

Fugi, Golden Delicious and Gala apples.
