Most rennet is made from calves' stomachs. Here is a link which explains

It is possible to find cheese that is made with non-animal rennet, but

that would still not be vegan because it is made with milk. So it

sounds like you are a lacto vegetarian.

Rennet is an enzyme that causes milk to form curds.....it comes from the

lining of a calves stomach. With

that said, you can also get vegetable rennet to use in cheese making but I

believe most commercial concerns use

the regular kind.

So many terms make me confused. lol

I think I am going to be switching to pure soy in all areas. I don't like the

idea of consuming any animal parts at all. Not even a little.
