Guest guest
I am frustrated. I need help from this awesome group. I need to find some vegan marshmallows. Do the exist?? I love marshmallows. I miss them. Many deserts call for marshmallows. Does gelatin HAVE to be made from animal sources? What about jello?? Gelatin powder? your time is the most cherished gift of all, tomorrow is promised to no one. Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Hi I have found vegetarian " jello " at our " health food " store. That is what we call it but they sell organic veggies and lots of Vegan stuff. I have never looked for marshmallows but will ask the owner about them. Give me a few minutes and I will email her. Guest guest
Rice Mellow (like marshmellow fluff)! I swear this stuff is WONDERFUL. It's vegan and pretty much made from brown rice syrup, but smells and tastes like marshmellows. I even tried it on a few non vegetarians who gave it the thumbs up and am trying it again tomorrow (but won't tell them). Slap some on toast with Better N Peanutbutter or use it in any recipe like putting on top of brownies or making rice krispie squares. Genuardi's has it in their natural foods section for $4 and I'm assuming natural foods stores would also have it. As for gelatin things, you can use agar flakes, which is made from seaweed and will gel. Amethyst jeannieh h <jeannieh99 wrote: I am frustrated. I need help from this awesome group. Guest guest
Amethyst, First of all, I have to say I love your name! I can't tell you how happy your post made me! LOL Now to find the stuff you are mentioning. I wonder if Whole Foods has it. This is the main natural foods store we have here in Houston, that I know about. Do you know if there is a site I could buy this from?? I could just taste what you were describing. (wiping the drool) Jeannie Shameless Flirt <lilacpatch wrote: Rice Mellow (like marshmellow fluff)!
