That's wonderful you found avocados. I eat 1/2 of one

3-4 times a week with my lunch. A veru favorite of

mine.

The star fruit is nice cut in thin rounds and used for

decorations on top of cheesecake, on a salad dish,

etc. I don't think there is too much of a flavor I

crave there. Dragon fruit I see all the time but have

only tasted it in a fruit drink, my friend buys them

when they are soft to the touch.

Jackfruit is already sliced and wrapped in the produce

area of our one main Whole Foods store, I don't see it

too often, the fruit itself is HUGE and I have never

seen the whole fruit sold, I only see it sold in large

wrapped slices.

Jackfruits are big fruits with spikes and yellow meat

with big edible seeds.

Very popular in Asia. In the Philippines, we eat

everything - the fruit when ripe can be eaten fresh -

quite yummy; and can be also cooked in sugar and eaten

as dessert. When fruit is unripe, it can be cooked

with coconut milk, onions, pepper and eaten as a

vegetable dish; or marinated in vinegar - eaten as a

salad. The seeds are boiled an eaten as a snack! Ripe

fruit can be dried and eaten as a snack too!

Durian is as versatile - eaten fresh, flavouring in

ice cream and candies!

Dragon fruits are kinda exotic even for me; but again

quite delicious and we eat them fresh.

All these fruits readily available in various markets

all over Asia. Same as avocados, bananas, mangos

etc...
