Robyn Smoking Points for Oils

Also found this on wikipedia. It has the different heat/smoking points

for different types of oils & greases you cook with. And I take that

back about what I said about olive oil in an earlier email. It looks

like it has a decent smoking point. :)

 

The common thread in that chart does seem to be that the less refined

the oil is, the lower the heat/smoking point. The more refined it is,

the higher the smoking point.
