I'm so glad I joined this group, because I've already found some great recipes from yesterday's daily digest that I can't wait to try. I've got some favorites that I'll be sharing, too. I just returned to a vegetarian diet after going off for about four-and-a-half years. I'm studying Reiki and want to use Reiki therapeutically with animals/pets and it just seemed unethical to me to do that while at the same time eating their buddies! I'm also put off by all the food alerts to tainted meat lately. We just had a school district here destroy about 500,000 pounds of hamburger that was destined for children's lunches because some of it was tainted with Mad Cow disease! I thought the meat industry was supposed to have put regulations in place to prevent that?!! When I was a vegetarian before, I ended up getting weak and sick, I think because I wasn't eating the right combinations of foods for protein. I want to do it right this time, so I'm looking forward to learning all I can. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to participate with such a great group of people!
