Guest guest Posted February 24, 2008 Report Share Posted February 24, 2008 I make " green smoothies " and I don't use a recipe - it's more of a formula: 1 banana greens -- 6-8oz spinach or 1 bunch kale or collards or chard or bok choy or microgreens or mixture thereof 1 Tblsp flax seed 1/2 Tblsp dulse (for my thyroid) ~1 cup liquid -- unsweetened cherry or pomegranate or mango, or soy or rice milk ~1 cup frozen fruit -- mango or cherry or blueberry or mixed berry possibly some other fresh fruit: pear, apple, blueberries, blackberries possibly other fresh veggies: broccoli, zucchini, squash, pumpkin puree If I don't have a banana, I might use avocado. Blend it up. If it's too thick, add more liquid.
