Guest guest
Kathleen, Thanks a lot for the great post you sent earlier this month about using rags for things. I was raised in a household where money was always tight and my Mother taught me to make use of everything. You are right - we have learned to live a " throw-away life " not realizing what was happening. Now I live in a multigenerational household with my daughter, son-in-law and 1 year old granddaughter. After reading your post and recalling a lot of old things I have stored in my memory banks, we are rethinking some things. My daughter and her family are very progressive young people and eat only organic food and we all try to be really selective in what we buy and use. However, there are some things we are doing now that will enhance our efforts to live a good life and do the best for the world around us. By the way, my Mother always used all kinds of material scraps to knit rag rugs. Each of my children received a little rag rug when they were born and the one my Mother made for my daughter now has a place of honor in my granddaughter's room. Thanks for giving us some new things to add to our list of living a better way Zelda San Francisco, California
