O.T. Largest Ground Beef Recall

I just became a vegetarian last April. I am glad I don't eat meat

anymore! The largest ground beef recall in history just went down.

143 million pounds. A lot of this went to schools. If you know anyone

who does eat beef, you might make sure they know about this.

but let me warn you...it is not for the faint of heart, and if you are

an animal lover like me, you might not want to read it. I literally

cried over this. I don't know how I ever ate meat before and am

vowing never to eat it again. Eating meat seems cruel and even kind

of barbaric to me now days.

I saw that on the news first thing this morning and it made me sick. I

have been a vegetarian for two months now and nothing could make me

touch meat again. I have a friend who said " Oh, thats an isolated

incident and most meat is 99.9999 % safe to eat. " I dont care how safe

it is, I care about the poor animals and the inhumane treatment they

received. Things like that sicken me and make me proud to be meat free.

As the day has gone on, I have just gotten more and more upset about

this. It is just bothering me really bad. I know I that by being

vegetarian, I am helping the animals, but that feeling of, " Im just

one person and I am not really making a difference " keeps coming up.

Is there anything else I can do? I can't make the world stop eating

meat, but if I could, I would!
