Guest guest
I know that lots of folks that sell eggs that hens lay on their property, have egg cartons that folks save for them, to use and get boxes from the grocery stores to carry them in. I don't know how else you would have egg cartons to use........ They may have just bought boxes from some wholesale place that had markings already on them, but yet have just used these to sale their free range chicken eggs in. On freecycle the other day, someone was getting out of the free range egg business that they ran out of their home/farm, and offered load of free egg cartons. My husband and I used to go almost every Sat. morning. We thought we were getting fresh food and supporting local farmers but we found out that many of the venders were getting their stuff from a food terminal. In the winter here we can't of course get fresh veggies and fruits but we thought we were getting free range eggs. One day I noticed the fellow we bought from getting the eggs out of a large box with the name of a chicken factory on it. We started going to a woman who had a farm and a sign in front of her stand saying " Free Range Eggs. " We thought she had laying hens on her farm. We bought from her for a couple of years until I saw her getting eggs out of the same box from the chicken facory. . Anne
Guest guest
You can buy cartons from dealers, my mother has free range chickens and she buys her cartons form a company that sells supplies.
