Guest guest
I would eat raw garlic everyday if I could. I crush it and then mix it with raw honey and spread it over toasted Millet bread. So good and really great when getting that sick feeling. My husband HATES the smell and people around me can smell it and back away. Our house stays garlicky for a while afterwards too. Any tips? Is garlic just as healthy when it is baked? I know it smells less this way. Thanks for the juicer brands and clean up ideas. I loved the soapy sink idea. I only have juiced for each drinking. HOW LONG can you keep the juice and still have the good results of a fresh juicing? Also, when I see the beets at the store and the water spray that shoots on them, I think I see fungus growing on the tops. Maybe this is just dirt. I know the produce I am buying is organic, but I get way grossed out thinking about all the people before handling the vegetables that I am not going to cook and am trying to use to boost my immune system. If they have been handled a ton then aren't I getting everyone's hand germs even if I wash them? I took the beets and dropped them into boiling water for two minutes. I probably didn't need to do this, but it made me feel better. Julie
Guest guest
You know eating raw garlic is supposed to prevent illness right? Maybe the way it works is that it makes one stink so badly that people stay away, hence we don't have a chance to get exposed to their germs! ha ha ha..... OK, this might work (but it was in jest), but here is a great article describing the health properties of garlic. Quite a bit of research has gone into this, it is amazing, seventy different sulphur-bearing compounds each targeting a different disease! isn't nature wonderful? http://www.innvista.com/health/foods/vegetables/garlic.htm I have been planting sprouted ones amongst the rose bushes, they seem to be taking quite well. , " jathansen " <gourmetsolutions wrote: > > I would eat raw garlic everyday if I could.
