Guest guest
A non vegetarian friend just got the moosewood cookbook and asked me what are the best recipies in it. I don't have the book, so figured I would ask you, all. There has been discussion about the book, but I did not see the names of any recipies I should tell her about. Guest guest
I love The Moosewood Cookbook! It was the first usable vegetarian I found. Usable meaning that it called for ingredients that I could find easily and that the recipes did not take a really long time to make. These are some of my favorites: Gypsy Soup (frezes well) Split Pea Soup (ditto) Lentil Soup (ditto) Brazilian Black Bean Soup (probably freezes well, I haven't tried) Vegetarian Chili I am sure there are many others. The recipes are very accomodating to changes in ingredients and in seasoning. HTH Mary
