so you can have a finger food. lol reminds of our boiled peanuts. Here in the

south, we boil peanuts still in the shells. They taste much better that way..

Then you crack them open with your teeth and slurp out those yummy

peanuts.......... LOL

Does anyone know why the frozen edamame come in the pods? They aren't

really edible (very leathery & hairy). My instructions say to cook in

the pods & de-pod before eating.

Every time I went to Georgia, my first purchase was fresh boiled peanuts. I

love them, right out of the cauldron!!!

They sell soy beans shelled as well. I buy them both ways. Sometimes I like to

pop them out of the shell while I'm eating them just to have finger food. Other

times I'll buy them shelled if I'm tossing them into a recipe (who needs an

extra step of shelling them?). Really, you get a much better deal buying them

shelled. They're the same price, but you'd get more because of the weight of

the shell. There's an asian grocery store chain around here called H Mart that

sells a 16oz bag of shelled and still in the shell for a buck! They even have

great prices on tofu (many sizes including in HUGE tubs if you need that much)

and vegan " chicken and beef " packets from a local factory in Philly.
