Guest guest Posted February 6, 2008 Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 * Exported from MasterCook * Live Journal Adzuki Bean Hummus - 3 pts Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : LowCal (Less than 300 calories LowFat (Less than 15%) Vegan WW Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cans beans -- (15 oz) (in this case, adzuki) 4 large cloves garlic 2 tablespoons tahini salt Juice of one lemon Dump the beans (with canning liquid) into a pot and heat until the liquid is bubbly. Meanwhile, (using a mortar and pestle) mash the garlic cloves into a paste with salt. The salt will help break them up. Spoon the beans into a food processor and process with enough canning liquid to make a smooooth hummusy consistency. When this is complete, stir in the tahini, lemon juice, and garlic paste. Serve with a drizzling of olive oil on top and paprika!
