Guest guest
So, finally this weekend, in between unpacking, having our cinco de mayo annual gathering, and general running arounds..FINALLY was able to get some plants in the ground sadly..we have discovered our soil looks to be as fertile as the moon beneath the thatch layer of grass, its about 2 inches of sand....and below that...clay and gravel obviously our backyard had a building on it at one time....hence the gravel and other assorted odds and ends(nails, hungs of glass, etc).... whee fun but...we'll deal... i weedwacked it all down to stubble, then took all the yard clippings from my old place and laid em on top..layered our packing cardboard on top, and dumped compost and more yard clippings on top of that.... use wot you got! we'll see how well it all comes together cheers fraggle
