Farmer suicide on rise as India's rural crisis deepens

 

YAVATMAL (AFP) - Despite failed crops and mounting debts, the family

of Indian cotton farmer Chandrakant Gurenule never believed his

suicide threats until he set himself alight and fled their home in flames.
