Guest guest Posted April 3, 2006 Report Share Posted April 3, 2006 Wool comes from sheep - I think you are asking about yarn or fabric, which can just as easily be made from nylon (acrylic) or plant fibre (linen, cotton) etc. It has been around for years - I used to knit a lot and have never used wool.
